On the road to pursuing "what I want to be when I grow up"---- I've studied successful illustrators, became a member of society (SCBWI), built a website, read many books, participated locally in RACWI, attended conferences, was critiqued by Art Directors, listened to editors, re-evaluated my art, started a blog, am inspired by my illustrators group, and have vowed to draw daily. (not necessarily in that order)
The road has been fun and enlightening so far. I'm looking forward to where this process takes me!
A few other things I've learned about me..... I stink at snowboarding, don't know when I'll get used to looking up at my son, I enjoyed jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, February is a great time to be somewhere warm and sunny, chocolate in the middle of the day works for me, I don't miss living in Brooklyn but can't wait to visit, I still love new crayons and very sharp pencils... and laughing is cool.
